Cutscene Design

Cutscene Blocking
This document outlines the cutscene blocking process and shows the development process behind the three major cutscenes of Core Principles.
Opening Cutscene
This cutscene displays the world/setting of Deilvar, showing off the kingdom-like city as well as its surroundings. Within the cutscene, the player will be introduced to the main character, accompanying character(either Sam or Vance), and a key story goal.
Midpoint Cutscene
​This cutscene serves as the turning point in the story as two major discoveries are made by the player. Several new characters and mechanics are introduced as the player prepares for the final part of the story.
Closing Cutscene
​This cutscene showcases the aftermath of the events of the first chapters storyline. It will display the Shion, Ein, Tasha, and all of the other characters the player has met thus far and give them glimpse of how each of them have changed throughout the story.
